"Vysotska culture"

Collection of the "Vysotska Culture" materials is one of the largest collection of reserves group "Archaeology" of the Lviv Historical Museum (near 800 exhibits). The exhibition "Vysotska Culture" presents more than 400 exhibits. Materials from Lugove village of Lviv Province are the most interesting. They have been investigated in 1895-1896 years by I. Sharanevych and M. Grushevskyi (first president of Ukraine).
These materials as separate culture have been determined and based by T.Sulymyrskyi.
Tribes of Vysotska Culture (name relates to the burial ground near Vysotske village of Lviv Province (Ukraine) lived in IX-VI century B.C., on the territory of Lviv and partially Ternopil provinces. They occupied in farming, cattle-breeding and knew handicrafts, in particular, pottery and smithery.
In the culture of Vysotki tribes the features of the earlier tribes of Komarivska Culture, arrived tribes from the west of Luzhytska Culture and tribes of the Pravoberezhne Podnistrivya of Pre-scythian time, in particular, Bilogrudivska and Chornoliska cultures have been united.
Vysotska Culture have not disappeared, but as a result of advance of forest-step farming tribes on West it have overgrew into culture of Early-scythian time.
Ceramic is very significant for characteristics if the material culture of Vysotski tribes. It is diverse on forms. These are thin-walls pots, dishes, bowls, cups, vases, scoops.
In reserves of the museum there is beautiful collection of bronze articles: diverse hairpins, bracelets, finger-rings, pendants, fibulas, beads.
The insurance cost of the exhibits is 150000 USD.
Insurance premium due to payment for Ukrainian insurance company "from all risks" - US 750 for one month.
Payment for the exhibit's loaning from Museum - US 2500 for a month;
- US 4000 for two month;
- more than two months - according to the agreement.
Customer has to cover all expenses for the transportation security, custom's service, expenses for reception of the Museum's representatives who have to accompany the exhibits during the transportation and for the opening ceremony.
